- Acca
- Acca, short for accumulator, is a parlay that links four or more selections, offering higher odds but requiring every pick to win.
- Arbitrage
- Arbitrage is betting on all possible outcomes of an event across different bookmakers to guarantee a profit regardless of the result.
- Banker
- Banker is a heavily favored selection added to a parlay to boost odds, but if it loses the whole bet fails.
- Bankroll
- Bankroll is the total money you have set aside for betting.
- Cash out
- Cash out is an option to settle a bet before the event ends, letting you lock in a profit or cut your loss.
- Closing line
- Closing line is the final set of odds offered just before an event starts, used to evaluate betting performance.
- Fade
- Fade means betting against a team or outcome, typically when you think the public is overvaluing it.
- Handicap
- Handicap is a virtual advantage or disadvantage applied to a team to balance the odds for betting.
- In-play betting
- In-play betting lets you place bets after the match has started, with odds that change as the game progresses.
- Kelly Criterion
- Kelly Criterion is a formula that calculates the optimal amount to bet based on your perceived edge.
- Line movement
- Line movement refers to changes in odds or spreads from when they first open to when they close.
- Moneyline
- Moneyline is a bet on which team will win the match, with odds expressed as a price.
- Odds format
- Odds format is the way betting odds are displayed, such as decimal, fractional, or American.
- Over/Under
- Over/Under is a bet on whether the total number of goals or points in a match will be higher or lower than a set number.
- Overround
- Overround is the bookmaker’s total implied probability that exceeds 100%, representing the house margin.
- Parlay
- Parlay is a single bet that combines multiple selections, and all of them must win for the bet to pay out.
- Public money
- Public money refers to bets placed by casual bettors, often causing the line to move in the opposite direction.
- Responsible gambling
- Responsible gambling refers to practices and tools that help you bet safely and keep control of your spending.
- Spread
- Spread is a point spread that gives the underdog a virtual advantage or disadvantage to make the betting even.
- Stake

- Unit
